dear blog,

i have now been in holland for 10 days,
there have been some firsts,
like walking over a lake last night,
and getting an x-ray today, because i then fell over and they thought i had broken my wrist,
there have also been some very familiar patterns,
like the fact that my curtains have been shut since i got here,
and everything in my room is overflowing with stuff.

it's been good though,
i kinda already feel at home, I've like half forgotten my parents still exist back in new zealand,
it's a little strange,
and there has been so much snow,
apparently there's going to be a lot more this weekend,
and all of Europe is running out of salt because of it, so some people have resorted to using bath salts, which apparently do work to melt snow...?
it's all completely foreign to me.

i've also already ruined a pair of my pants,
typical,
and my parents don't want to buy me new one's of the internet,
also typical.

school is ok,
not hugely interesting for the most part,
there was a somewhat interesting conversation about symbolism in pottery class yesterday with a whole bunch of Arabs,
but that's about all really,
don't really have any friends, but everyone's civil, it's all kinda meh there for me to be honest.
I suppose that probably has something to do with the fact that I'm kinda meh right now.
a meh attitude makes life meh.
meh.

ok, so i feel there is a need for some imagery, but i have not as of yet emptied my camera, so i went fishing through the copious ammounts of photo's i brought with me on my usb (by which i mean external hard drive) , here are some from around chrimbo time:

don't think i don't love it here though,

hello blog!

today was my last proper day of school.
it feels so, so bizzar to think i wont ever be having proper leason at my school EVER again. ever.
on the upside i'm getting a prize tomorrow, probably for effort but hey, it's a prize.
and i had a really good halloween, it was the first time i havn't trick or treated since i was like 5, but i enjoyed it anyway.
i was a fly.

plus i have already passed the year, and i will most likely get a merit or excellence or merit endorsement, which is good for applying for uni when i get back from holland.
it feels bizzar that i'm going to Holland so soon, less than two months, and i have so much i want to do before then.
i will only have 29 days between end of exams and leaving for holland, like exactly, and i have to make several jumpsuits go, see where the wild things are, make a surrealist movie about corn chips, pack, have a birthday party, an end of exams party, a farewell party, make some shirts, print off a whole bunch of photos for holland, print shirts, watch at least 20 movies, catch up on all the true blood i missed, and sleep.
but that's it, i think.
probabaly not.

i will be busy, to say the least,
and i wanted to have my heart leotard done for proze giving tomorrow, but it probably wont happen.

life is busy, but good.

i am in a rather good mood because the weather has been nice today,
this morning while i was in bed it was pouring down with rain, which i actually quite like, and it made me very tempted to run outside in spin in circles until i got dizy and fell over, as one does, but i didn't . it clear up i the afternoon though and stayed a nice temperature all day, so it was good. i also found a whole bunch of stuf i really wanna buy on trade me, most of which is brilliantly hideous:


and i am on holiday!
as of friday night, which was very fun, and i discovered that if you are in a car while stoned, 20 km/hour feels REALLY FAST.

also in two days my parents are going to Melbourne for 5 days, and i will be living with my friend Ary and NO BODY ELSE!
which should be good fun, i think i probably wont throw a house party though, to much cleaning up afterwards, plus my neighbour tells my parents about these things.

but wait there's more!
i have finally gotten most of the photos from Wellington from Rhiannon (she's pretty great) and realised that this blog will probably be really shit house, but it is actaully coming now,
and i also discovered two fabulous artists in the past couple of days.

the first is Katie Eary who is a brilliant menswear designer:
